SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026 Application Process: The SBI Foundation is offering a great opportunity to students who excel academically but are at risk of missing out on higher education due to financial constraints. Applications are being invited from eligible students across the country for the ‘SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026’.
The SBI Foundation has allocated a budget of ₹100 crore to provide scholarships to a total of 25,707 students this year.
SBI Asha Scholarship 2026 Details & Benefits
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided based on the course of study, covering students from Class 9 up to those pursuing studies abroad.
Minimum assistance: ₹15,000
Maximum assistance: ₹ Up to ₹20 lakhs (depending on the category/course)
Eligible Categories
School students: Classes 9 to 12
Higher education: Undergraduate (UG) & Postgraduate (PG)
Professional courses: Medical, IIT, IIM
Foreign education: Indian students pursuing higher studies abroad
Key Conditions (Annual Income Limit)
For school students: Family annual income must be below ₹3 lakhs.
For higher education categories: Family annual income must generally be below ₹6 lakhs.
Must have secured the prescribed minimum marks/CGPA in previous academic qualifications.

Selection Process
Shortlisting: Students are shortlisted based on academic merit (marks) and family financial status.
Telephonic Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview over the phone.
Document Verification: Final selection is made after document verification, and the scholarship amount is deposited directly into the students’ bank accounts.
